Population Project

During the Population Project, I learned many things. There were three however, which were the most valuable things I learned. One was that managing time is the most important necessity when it comes to working on a project. The only reason the Population Project was not tough for me was because I spaced out my work. I did not do everything at the last minute, and I did not stuff all my work for the first weekend after the project was introduced. The second thing was that connections make life a lot easier. You may laugh when someone says my brother’s friend’s mom’s secretary can help you, but having connections helped me during my project. I got the interview with Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, the founder of the most known NGO working towards sanitation facilities, through the seventh grade science teacher who told me about the toilet museum. Then, after talking to a worker at the toilet museum, I got the number of Ms. Anita. After meeting Ms. Anita, and talking to her, I finally got an appointment with Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak. The last thing is that paying attention in everyday classes is very important because there were many times during this project where I was stumped about how to do a task, but then I realized that I had to do through a certain formula from math class, or the Africa Research Paper from humanities class.
Though these three things have nothing to do with my Population Project topic, they will help me for the rest of my life.
