Animal Farm Film

After watching Part 1 of Animal Farm, I already see differences between the film and the novel. Usually when people compare a novel with a film, they say that the novel had a lot more detail, in this case, it is the opposite. The film shows a lot more detail, and emotion than the novel. Though this happens, obviously, the novel and the film are the same story, but in the film a lot of the remembered events are shown quicker in the film than the book. One specific difference between the novel and the film is that Old Major dies of old age in the novel, but in the book, he is shot. Lastly, another difference that our class really disliked was that the "National Anthem" in the film was different from "Beasts of England", therefore we couldn't sing along with it!

Honestly, I liked the novel better than the film. I say this because there was too much of a difference between the two. Also, since we read the novel before watching the film, I ended up comparing them, and "I judged the book by its cover."
