Cold War Simulation

After going through the Cold War simulation, I now know kind of how it was like to be part of the Cold War. I was the U.S. with Joel and Farah. Since we were one of the super powers, our goal was to get as many strength points on our side. Our strategy was to first, acquire the countries with high strength points, and then negotiate with other groups the acquire reasonable "packets". For example, we negotiated with Lucas's group and we acquired Saudi Arabia and Oceania for 25 points.
In the Cold War Simulation, the team that won the simulation was the team "Africa and Europe." They won the simulation because the goal of every team was to get the most amount of strength points as possible, this group had 115 points, which was 5 points high than my our team; the U.S. In the real life, the U.S. won the Cold War because they got USSR to change their way of thinking from Communism to Capitalist Democracy. This means that one super power, defeated the other superpower.

Avi I can relate to this because I also was a part of a super power, and we had similar goals and strategies to your super power. I also agree with the fact that you think the US won the cold war, because they managed to change numerous countries from Communism to Capitalish Democracy. Good job Avi, this is a great post!
