Scramble for Africa

After participating in the Scramble for Africa, I know that Germany had won. Germany won because they we had conquered a lot of land near trade routes. For example we had conquered land near the Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Indian and Atlantic Ocean, and the Nile River. Also, we stopped a country (Spain) from conquering a trade route, by couquering it oursleves.
I say, Spain lost today because they didn't conquere any land that was useful in anyway. Spain merely conquered a small part of the Sahara Desert, where there are no resources or a trade route.
