Week WithOut Walls

Week WithOut Walls is an appropriate use of class time. I say this because it is important to learn about the country you live in, and on 8th grade WOW, we learned about the culture and traditions of a major religion of Hinduism.
Another reason I say that WOW is an appropriate use of class time, is that when you are on WOW, you live for 5 days without your parents. I think this is very important because in the real life your parents aren’t always going to be there with you to pack your clothes, or clean up for you. Living without your parents strengthens your ability to be more independent.
My final reason is that when you are on WOW, you are not thinking about school, you are with your friends, a couple of cool teachers and you are having loads of fun. This is extremely important because everyone needs a break from school to have fun. Therefore, Week WithOut Walls is a fantastic use of class time.

Avi,

I COMPLETELY agree with you. It is a good use of class time. We did learn much from WOW. Like you, after WOW I also felt more independent than before. What I think you could do, is to talk about something specific from WOW. Like going on a specific rapid or doing yoga or riding on the train or hiking to camp. Other than that, you did a wonderful job with this post!

Avi, Your writing made me think that we should go on WOW twice a year! Perhaps once in each semester!
